And I say characters because the author at some point decided to follow 8-10 different characters without ever developing them. The biggest problem with this book is how 1 to 2 dimensional most of the characters are. However the characters, world building, and overall sense of purpose is really lacking. It moves a little slow in parts, tending to not progress anywhere fast (the second part of the book is basically just one huge dungeon crawl), but that's not necessarily a bad thing as long as you're aware of it. Well written, the book is perfect for audio - great narrator, not too many stats (but enough) and a fun story. After the first few chapters though it forges its own path. The start reminded me very strongly of the very excellent book 'Threadbare' - the MC is a summons who is new to the world, naïve to it's dangers, and must learn it's ropes. Reader beware! However I was not ashamed to let my mother read this book.Despite not having litrpg or gamelit anywhere in the title, this book very firmly falls within the genre. It should also be known that my 70 year old, retired elementary school librarian mother, thought there was an excessive amount of strong language in this book. The question is how? Do the people around him value him for who he is or merely for what he represents? The world holds endless possibilities, only time will tell what the future holds for the boy. Bound to a master who doesn't care whether he lives or dies, he must become stronger. Summoned into this chaotic place, a young boy with no name and no past must learn to survive. Heroes and villains created new epics and were forgotten when their successors appeared. Monsters and beasts roamed the earth and were slain by soldiers and adventurers who were in turn killed by stronger threats. New Classes were discovered, as old ways were lost.

New nations and races rose and fell almost daily. The Infinite World, ever-changing and ever growing.
